
Assistant Financial Controller (Fixed Assets and Treasury)

What you’ll achieve in the role:
The role supports the Raven Group by reducing treasury risk and managing the Group’s property security and fixed asset portfolio. Providing specialist technical advice on all matters relating to our loans, liquidity and working capital management.
The post holder will work collaboratively as part of the Finance Control, Accounting & Transactions Team to develop and deliver customer-based processes for the wider business and contribute to team planning and development.
Key responsibilities include:

Loan covenant compliance and reporting requirements are met

Security available for re-financing requirements

Liquidity and compliance with Raven's Golden Rules are maintained

Accuracy of cashflow forecasting

Work with the GDOF and ADOF to arrange the optimal debt/equity mix for each Group legal entity.

Work with the GDOF and ADOF to achieve an optimal cost of capital for the Group
-
Statement of accounts delivered on time and to standard set by external audit

Valuations reports delivered to time and standards required
What you’ll bring to Raven:
For this role, we are looking for someone with the following:

CCAB or ACT Qualification
-
Knowledge of Treasury practices, processes and protocols
-
Basic property charging / searches knowledge
-
Cashflow Forecasting
-
Experience in fixed asset accounting

Knowledge of component accounting
-
Able to develop and maintain good relationships with external and internal contacts

Ability to make informed decisions and/or give clear advice
-
Ability to communicate financial data to non-financial users
-
Aptitude for designing and implementing procedures and processes

Strong questioning and listening skills
-
Technical Treasury Experience, including liquidity management and debt portfolio management

Experience in using RAM (Real Asset Management) or Fixed Asset Systems with component accounting functionality

Strong experience in completing complex reconciliations

Reconciliation of large data sets
